Predictions Liquidity: How Brokers Can Offer Event Contracts Without Holding the Book

Since April 2026, a broker on Match-Trader (FX-EDGE technology partner) has been able to list event contracts next to FX and CFDs without building anything new. Match-Trader’s prediction-markets module runs as an add-on to an existing setup or as a standalone white label, and settles contracts automatically when a result is known.

What the module doesn’t decide is who stands on the other side. Every event contract settles at $1.00 or $0. When your client’s contract settles at $1.00, someone pays that dollar, and for a broker with no liquidity provider behind its markets, the honest answer is “we do, from our own balance.” Predictions Liquidity gives a different answer for the flow you pass to FX-EDGE: we do.

The idea

Every event contract needs someone on the other side. Predictions Liquidity makes that FX-EDGE, for the flow you choose to pass on. We price each contract in the FX-EDGE matching engine, on our own book and independent of external venues, and stream it into Match-Trader’s prediction-markets platform as one continuous feed. You set the price your clients see.

If you already run FX or CFD flow through a prime of prime, the relationship is familiar. You buy liquidity from a principal who takes the other side of your trades. Predictions Liquidity applies that to event contracts, with one change to the price: a single flat wholesale fee per contract, the same on a 5-cent contract as on a 95-cent one, in any category. Anything you charge above it is yours.

The positions you hedge with FX-EDGE are ours to carry. The positions you keep are yours.

How it works

You connect once, set your prices and decide what to hedge.

  1. Connect. The FX-EDGE feed runs inside the Match-Trader prediction-markets platform – as an add-on to your existing FX or prop setup, or as a standalone platform white-labeled to your brand. There are no venue connections or separate market-data integrations to build.
  2. We make the market. FX-EDGE prices and risk-manages each contract in its own matching engine and streams one continuous feed, across politics, sports, crypto, economics, culture, climate, companies and tech.
  3. You set the price. The client-facing spread and fees are yours. FX-EDGE’s flat wholesale fee sits underneath.
  4. Your clients trade, and we settle. Clients trade event contracts alongside the instruments they already hold. You choose which positions to hedge with FX-EDGE, and those clear and settle with FX-EDGE as your single counterparty, in USD or major stablecoins (USDC, USDT).

A contract is bought at between $0.01 and $0.99, a price that reads as the market-implied probability of the outcome. It settles at $1.00 if the outcome happens and $0 if it doesn’t. Markets are Yes/No or multi-outcome, and clients can close a position at any time or hold it to settlement.

What the broker gets

There are four things a broker takes out of it.

  • Your markup, as margin. You set client pricing and FX-EDGE charges one flat fee per contract underneath, so your margin per contract is your client fee minus that fee. Because the fee doesn’t move with price or category, the margin is the same on a 5-cent contract as on a 95-cent one.
  • A counterparty you can name. Hedged positions sit on FX-EDGE’s book. When a result sends most of your clients the same way – a final whistle, a rate decision – the contracts you passed on settle against us.
  • One agreement, one reconciliation. No per-venue contracts, APIs or settlement rails. FX-EDGE handles all clearing and settlement, in USD, USDC or USDT.
  • A new asset class on the platform you already run. Event contracts sit in Match-Trader next to your FX, CFD or prop accounts, white-labeled to your brand, with no new tech build.

What stays with you

It is worth being plain about where the risk sits. You choose which positions to hedge with FX-EDGE. Any position you keep on your own book, you are the counterparty to: when your client’s contract settles at $1.00, that dollar comes off your balance. For that market, you are the house.

Event contracts don’t move like an FX pair. A contract can trade quietly for weeks, then jump to $1.00 or $0 in one step when the result is known, on a date the event sets. A spread can’t absorb that step, and once the result is in there is nothing left to close. Decide what you hedge before the first big result, while it is still a choice.

The client stays yours, too. You keep the client relationship, the client-facing pricing and your regulatory posture. You remain responsible for your own licence and for deciding which clients, in which jurisdictions, can trade event contracts. FX-EDGE does not onboard your clients and does not accept client funds.

Predictions Liquidity is offered by FX-EDGE V Ltd, a licensed Financial Dealer regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission (registration number 700604), to licensed brokers, financial institutions and professional counterparties only.

Which markets you list, and how much you hedge, is your decision.

Who can connect

Predictions Liquidity runs through Match-Trader, which makes four kinds of firm a fit:

  • Brokers on Match-Trader, adding event contracts as a module next to their FX and CFD offering.
  • New launches, running a standalone prediction-markets platform under their own brand.
  • Prop firms, giving funded traders event contracts on the platform they already use.
  • Professional desks, taking FX-EDGE’s event-contract liquidity under a single agreement.

Onboarding time depends on your setup. Adding the module to an existing Match-Trader environment is a smaller job than a standalone launch.

Whoever you talk to about event-contract liquidity, us included, ask three things: who is the counterparty, how is the price made, and what happens to your book on the day a big market resolves.

Tell us which markets you want to list and the contract volume you expect, and we will come back with a flat per-contract rate and an answer on limits.

FAQ

What is Predictions Liquidity?

Predictions Liquidity is FX-EDGE’s liquidity for prediction-market event contracts. FX-EDGE prices contracts in its own matching engine, on its own book, and delivers them as one continuous feed inside the Match-Trader prediction-markets platform. You set client pricing above a flat per-contract fee, and FX-EDGE is the counterparty for the positions you hedge with it.

What are event contracts?

Event contracts are contracts on the outcome of a future event, such as an election, an economic release or a match result. Each is bought at between $0.01 and $0.99, the market-implied probability of the outcome, and settles at $1.00 if the outcome happens or $0 if it doesn’t. Markets can be Yes/No or have several possible outcomes, and positions can be closed at any time or held to settlement.

How does FX-EDGE price event contracts?

FX-EDGE prices and risk-manages event contracts in its own matching engine, as principal on its own book, independent of external venues and providers.

Who is the counterparty when my clients trade event contracts?

You choose. For the positions you hedge with FX-EDGE, FX-EDGE is your counterparty and clears and settles them. Positions you keep on your own book stay your risk, including the payout on any contract that settles at $1.00.

What does Predictions Liquidity cost?

One flat wholesale fee per contract, whatever the contract’s price or category, with volume-based pricing for committed flow. You set your own client pricing, and anything above the FX-EDGE fee is your revenue. There are no hidden markups beneath the feed.

How are event contracts settled?

Through one counterparty and one reconciliation. FX-EDGE handles all clearing and settlement, in USD or major stablecoins including USDC and USDT.

Do I need Match-Trader to use Predictions Liquidity?

Yes. Predictions Liquidity is delivered through Match-Trader, the platform developed by Match-Trade Technologies, FX-EDGE’s technology partner. You can run it as an add-on to an existing FX or prop setup or as a standalone white-label platform. You connect once, with no separate market-data or liquidity integrations to build. Match-Trader provides the platform and client interface; FX-EDGE provides the liquidity, pricing, risk management and settlement.

Can prop firms offer event contracts to funded traders?

Yes. Prop firms on Match-Trader can add event contracts for funded traders on the platform they already run.

Is FX-EDGE regulated, and who can use Predictions Liquidity?

Predictions Liquidity is offered by FX-EDGE V Ltd, a licensed Financial Dealer regulated by the Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, to licensed brokers, financial institutions and professional counterparties only. It is not available to firms in restricted jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada and Australia. Brokers remain responsible for their own licensing and for assessing client eligibility in each jurisdiction they serve.
